About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table will be responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This position offers an opportunity to share culinary knowledge and passion while working in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes to customers, focusing on various cuisines and techniques.
  • Ensure all classes are conducted in a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized recommendations and answer questions about products.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cooking area.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a food service or teaching environment.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple classes simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
