About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table will be responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This position offers an opportunity to share your culinary expertise and passion for food.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes to customers in a variety of formats including hands-on demonstrations and group instruction.
- Develop and maintain a positive customer experience by providing excellent service and addressing customer needs.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and company policies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience in teaching or instructing others.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
