About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table is responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This position offers an opportunity to share your culinary skills and passion for food with others.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes to customers, focusing on various cuisines and techniques.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during class demonstrations and hands-on activities.
- Prepare and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
- Engage with customers to provide personalized recommendations and answer questions about products.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience.
- Experience teaching cooking classes or working in a similar customer-facing role.
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for food and enthusiasm for sharing that passion with others.
