About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table is responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This position offers an opportunity to share your culinary skills and passion for food with others.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes to customers, focusing on various cuisines and techniques.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during class demonstrations and hands-on activities.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized recommendations and answer questions about products.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience.
  • Experience teaching cooking classes or working in a similar customer-facing role.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for food and enthusiasm for sharing that passion with others.
