The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table is responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This role requires a passion for food and a strong culinary background.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes to customers
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during class
- Engage customers with interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities
- Adapt lesson plans based on customer feedback and preferences
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Experience teaching cooking classes or similar educational roles
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for sharing knowledge about cooking and food
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and techniques
