About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table is responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This role requires a passion for food and a strong culinary background.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes to customers
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during class
  • Engage customers with interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities
  • Adapt lesson plans based on customer feedback and preferences

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience
  • Experience teaching cooking classes or similar educational roles
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for sharing knowledge about cooking and food

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
