About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table will be responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This position is part-time and on-site.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes to customers
- Engage and interact with customers during class
- Ensure safety and quality of all cooking demonstrations
- Adapt lesson plans based on customer feedback and preferences
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional cooking experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for food and teaching
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple classes simultaneously
Skills
- Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques
- Knowledge of common cooking ingredients and methods
- Ability to adapt recipes to different skill levels
