About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor at Sur La Table is responsible for teaching cooking classes to customers in a fun and engaging manner. This position offers an opportunity to share your culinary expertise while supporting our mission of inspiring people to cook delicious meals.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes to customers, focusing on various cuisines and techniques.
  • Prepare and present recipes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during class demonstrations.
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized cooking tips and suggestions.
  • Adapt lesson plans based on customer feedback and class size.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience.
  • Experience teaching cooking classes or similar educational roles.
  • Valid food handler’s permit.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
