About the role

The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students within a school district, ensuring their physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Delivering routine, special needs, and emergency first aid
• Maintaining accurate health records
• Participating in educational initiatives
• Communicating effectively with management, parents, school authorities, and healthcare colleagues
• Demonstrating knowledge of departmental, school, state, and federal policies and procedures
• Performing other duties as required
• Providing clinical care
• Adhering to policies to support student health and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment within five years
• RN licensure
• BLS certification

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office

Requirements

• Preferred experience in pediatric nursing, school healthcare, and multidisciplinary teamwork
• Minimum of one year in healthcare
• Experience in healthcare (1‑2 years)
• Ability to work onsite
