About the role
The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students across various school sites within the district.
Responsibilities
- Delivering clinical care such as routine, special needs, and emergency first aid
- Maintaining accurate health records
- Participating in educational initiatives
- Communicating effectively with management, parents, school staff, and healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year healthcare experience
- Experience in pediatric nursing and school settings preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire
- Registered Nurse licensure and BLS certification are mandatory
Skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Knowledge of caring for students' physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs
- Adherence to departmental, school, state, and federal policies
This is a part-time, on-site role with flexible hours.
