School Health RN - PRN Float

About the role

The School Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive health services to students within a specified radius, primarily during school hours and as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine, special needs, and emergency first aid care
• Maintaining accurate student health records
• Participating in educational initiatives
• Communicating effectively with management, parents, school personnel, and healthcare teams
• Demonstrating knowledge of physical, psychological, social, and safety needs across all ages
• Adhering to departmental, school, state, and federal policies
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtaining it within five years
• RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience, preferably in pediatric or school settings
• Proficiency in MS Office

Schedule

Part-time, onsite, primarily during school hours and as needed, working within a 30-mile radius from the employee's home.
