About the role

The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students within a designated radius, ensuring their physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Delivering routine, special needs, and emergency first aid
• Maintaining accurate health records
• Participating in educational efforts
• Communicating effectively with management, parents, school authorities, and healthcare teams
• Demonstrating knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines across departmental, school, state, and federal levels
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or obtaining it within 5 years)
• Current RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum of one year healthcare experience (preferred experience in pediatric nursing and school settings)
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Part-time on-site work within a 30‑mile radius from the employee's home
