About the role

The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students across various schools within the district.

Responsibilities

• Delivering clinical care such as routine, special needs, and emergency first aid
• Maintaining accurate health records
• Participating in educational initiatives
• Communicating effectively with management, parents, school officials, and healthcare teams
• Addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of students
• Ensuring compliance with departmental, school, state, and federal policies
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtaining it within five years
• Current RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Skills

• Preferred experience: 1-2 years in healthcare, pediatric nursing, and school settings
• Proficiency in MS Office

Schedule
