About the role

The School Nurse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the health services provided to students and staff in Oak Ridge Schools. This position ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, provides guidance on health policies, and coordinates with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of health policies and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to school nurses regarding student health issues and emergency situations
• Coordinate with local healthcare providers to ensure timely access to medical care
• Monitor and report on student health statistics and trends
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations
• Collaborate with other school staff to develop and implement health education programs

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution
• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Experience in school nursing or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
