Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, coordinate, and present content for community partners
  • Coordinate and develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and status reports
  • Oversee and monitor the progress and successful completion of designated school improvement initiative, program, and project deliverables
  • Serve as the school improvement liaison to various departments
  • Market initiatives and events through traditional and nontraditional methods
  • Prepare and present frequent updates, presentations, executive summaries, and other documents
  • Develop and maintain an electronic library of resources
  • Attend districtwide and interdepartmental meetings
  • Remain abreast of developments and research in the field of school improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, with 5+ years of directly related experience preferred
  • 5+ years of directly related experience
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned
  • Experience in corporate or nonprofit environments with success in developing and coordinating project plans
  • Experience in working with the public and communicational media in providing information and interpreting programs
  • A working knowledge of local media, schools, and community issues
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of materials on the experience of those receiving them and mindfulness of inclusive principles in the production of materials
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours including after school, evenings, and some Saturdays
