Scheduling Assistant
About the Role
PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE: PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries, and related facilities. We are seeking a detail-oriented, talented professional Scheduling Assistant to join our team as a pivotal member at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. This role is onsite five days per week and provides administrative and operational support to our Commercial Scheduling team, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and cost-effective execution of commercial trading and supply chain activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, validate, and update scheduling and supply chain data within the company’s trading and scheduling systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate reports and perform data analysis to support scheduling and operations activities.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Serve as liaison between vendors and the Accounts Payable department to resolve invoice and payment inquiries.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business applications to manage, track, and report information.
- Support various commercial scheduling and operational activities as assigned by the Director, Operations.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience working in a professional environment with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with scheduling, supply chain, logistics, trading, or ERP systems is a plus.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,411.61 - $81,974.93. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the range to allow for future performance-based increases.
