Scheduler - APG Interventional Pulmonology
About the role
The Scheduling Coordinator oversees scheduling and medical record functions in Imaging Services. They ensure accurate and complete scheduling of procedures and acquire necessary documentation before exams. The Scheduler works closely with the imaging team, patients, and provider offices to gather relevant medical history, aiming to enhance the patient experience by minimizing delays and rescheduling.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely scheduling of imaging procedures.
- Acquire necessary medical records and documentation for exams.
- Communicate with imaging team, patients, and provider offices to gather medical history.
- Optimize patient experience by reducing delays and rescheduling.
- Support the workflow of assigned patient areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of keyboarding, medical terminology, and multiple scheduling software systems.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; training provided within 30-60 days.
