Responsibilities

  • Lead business development for the boutique by creating and nurturing client relationships through all interactions:
    • Develop excellent client relationships by creating memorable moments for clients and boutique visitors.
    • Drive the sales and care service team to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
    • Master boutique business knowledge and assess local market opportunities to implement proactive sales strategies.
    • Implement client strategies to develop genuine relationships, increasing business opportunities.
    • Partner with boutique leadership and the team on CRM efforts, including client outreach, data capture, and repurchase rate improvement.
    • Lead and promote networking activities for the boutique team.
    • Serve as the point of contact for visiting stylists and press photo shoots in partnership with the PR team.
    • Develop Prestige Partnership strategies to boost prestige sales and enhance the VIP client strategy.
    • Support sales and care service teams on escalated client matters to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Partner with boutique management, regional, and corporate teams to ensure boutique success:
    • Determine, communicate, and monitor individual and team KPIs alongside boutique management.
    • Collaborate with corporate departments (e.g., Retail, Merchandising, Marketing) to communicate key messages and business needs.
    • Lead or delegate boutique projects, including inventories, audit preparation, and operational tasks.
    • Partner with the Operations Manager to optimize boutique operations and controllable expenses.
    • Prepare regular sales reporting and analysis, including monthly qualitative business development reports.
    • Participate in daily boutique setup and breakdown as needed.
  • Team Development and Management:
    • Motivate and support boutique staff.
    • Communicate strategic brand initiatives through regular team meetings, ensuring staff awareness of Maison strategies, targets, and industry trends.
    • Educate and inspire the team with Maison knowledge, competitive landscape insights, and industry news.
    • Perform administrative and HR tasks, including commission checks, scheduling, payroll, and overtime management.
    • Actively recruit and maintain a talent pipeline.
    • Identify training and coaching opportunities for the sales team in partnership with boutique management and corporate partners.
    • Lead the performance management process through regular individual meetings, including biannual performance reviews.
    • Assess potential and propose development opportunities in collaboration with boutique management, HR, and Career Committees.
  • Be a Maison Ambassador:
    • Uphold Cartier standards by projecting a professional and approachable image.
    • Create a positive and productive boutique environment through collaborative teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (a plus).
  • Additional language skills (a plus).
  • 8-10 years of management experience, particularly in luxury retail or hospitality.
  • Required experience managing direct reports.
  • Availability to work retail hours (including weekends), travel for training, client events, etc.
  • Previous experience with SAP (preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic approach with clients and colleagues.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to develop business and build long-lasting client relationships.
  • Creativity in motivating and developing a team.
  • Collaborative approach with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong understanding of client service needs (internal and external).
  • Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
