Sales Director- Market General Manager
Position Summary
The Sales Director is responsible for driving profitable top-line and bottom-line growth by leading, developing, and inspiring a team of outside sales professionals. This role focuses on increasing market share with both new and existing customers within an assigned market while executing strategic growth initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Lead, coach, develop, and motivate field and inside sales teams across selling techniques, account planning, forecasting, CRM usage, reporting, and product knowledge
Set clear performance expectations, track progress, and drive results
Maintain strong market visibility through active coaching and customer engagement
Resolve complex or escalated customer issues
Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales talent
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and other internal partners
Promote and uphold a strong safety culture with a goal of zero incidents
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
Execute go-to-market strategies aligned with Operating and Value Creation Plans
Expand market share through existing and new product offerings
Develop and lead new account acquisition strategies
Elevate local sales planning, execution, and selling effectiveness
Analyze competitive positioning and market dynamics
Required Education, Experience & Skills
5+ years of successful sales management experience
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building products markets
Ability to travel up to 75% during the workweek
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience using Salesforce.com to coach teams and drive performance
