About the role
We’re looking for a results-oriented Sales Account Manager who is passionate about partnering with our advertisers, educating them, and helping to solve ambiguous business problems while mitigating risks before they become roadblocks. As a Sales Account Manager, you manage and deliver against complex advertiser goals and problems to drive revenue and achieve revenue targets. You nurture customer relationships and create revenue opportunities from the advertisers you own. You’ll dive deep into data to understand trends, communicate the “why” behind results, and make actionable recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll leverage Amazon’s proprietary data to provide strategic and personalized recommendations, influencing both your internal team and external customers to help them reach their business goals.
This role is highly collaborative, working with Creative, Sales, Product, and Retail partners to drive process improvement, gain efficiency, and foster collaboration. Your strategic digital expertise and influence will be critical to unlocking greater value and impact for our advertisers.
Responsibilities
- Become a knowledgeable partner on Amazon Advertising solutions
- Develop annual brand and media strategies for growth based on overall advertiser goals/objectives
- Develop campaign strategies and audience targeting recommendations per brand and product line
- Evaluate KPIs and optimize campaign performance using a data-driven approach
- Perform in-depth data analysis to deliver actionable insights & recommendations that influence short-term and long-term digital media strategy
- Educate advertisers on performance metrics, insights, and how to achieve greater results on Amazon
- Work cross-functionally with sales and other Amazon partners to drive incremental revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction
Requirements
- Experience in online marketing channels such as social media marketing, display advertising, and search engine marketing
- Experience with problem-solving and disruptive innovation, developing technology programs, and working across customer organizations
- Experience in creating process improvement procedures
- 4+ years of client-facing role including, but not limited to, digital marketing, analytics, or equivalent experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering, or Business
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience managing and troubleshooting network issues or working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
- Experience communicating effectively with external partners and delivering results for advertisers
- 3+ years of selling programmatic or data-driven ad products or platforms
- 5+ years of marketing, brand advertising, media sales, or online advertising experience, including close work with senior advertisers and agency stakeholders
Pay
Base salary range: $85,800.00 - $150,100.00 USD annually (New York, NY). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
