Safety Video Reviewer

Agency for Community Transit (ACT) is the organization behind the public transportation services, programs, and infrastructure that keep Madison County moving. ACT’s team of more than 300 professionals supports Madison County Transit (MCT), including fixed-route bus service, on-demand micro-transit, paratransit services, and the extensive MCT Trails system. About the role

The Safety Video Reviewer is a full-time, on-site role based in Granite City, IL. This role focuses on reviewing and analyzing video footage from transit operations to identify safety concerns, potential risks, and incidents involving vehicles, facilities, and passengers. The Safety Video Reviewer documents observations, prepares clear reports, and communicates findings to supervisors and safety staff to support investigations, coaching, and corrective actions. The role collaborates with operations, training, and risk management teams to help improve safety practices, enhance service quality, and support a culture of safety throughout ACT.

Responsibilities

• Organize video requests and maintain an orderly archive of footage.
• Review and analyze video footage to identify safety concerns, potential risks, and incidents.
• Document observations and prepare clear reports for supervisors and safety staff.
• Communicate findings to support investigations, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Follow established protocols and timelines to ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, training, and risk management teams to improve safety practices and service quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in safety, transportation, criminal justice, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience in transit operations, security monitoring, insurance or claims review, or a similar environment is beneficial.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and focus on screen-based work.
• Must work on-site in Granite City, IL.

Qualifications

• Ability to review and interpret video footage carefully, with strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Skills in documenting findings, writing clear summaries, and preparing basic reports for safety and management staff.
• Comfort with computer-based systems, video management tools, and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple video requests and meet established deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operations, safety, and administrative teams.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Pay

$23.84 - $33.38 per hour
