Safety Observer

About the role

The Safety Observer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective measures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Train employees on safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on new safety regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with safety software and databases.
• Good physical fitness to perform site visits and inspections.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
