About the role

As a Forklift Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role is critical to ensuring our customers' operations run smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and related equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and safety checks
• Replace worn or damaged parts, including tires, forks, and chains
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safety during repairs
• Document service and repair work accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Provide exceptional customer service and support

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a forklift technician or in a related mechanical field
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
