Video Reviewer

Location: Remote (Work from Home) | Job Type: 1099 Contract, Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week required)

About the Role

This role is critical in helping to identify motorists who illegally pass stopped school buses, endangering the lives of young children. As a Video Reviewer, you will review online video events and determine whether a vehicle has violated the law. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in viewing high volumes of online videos, skilled in understanding state laws and regulations regarding school bus safety, and technologically adept with video reviewing and editing experience. This position offers flexible hours to supplement your income while contributing to a noble mission.

Responsibilities

• Review a high volume of online video events to determine whether a vehicle has violated the law by passing a stopped school bus.
• Ensure all events are reviewed with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Understand and strive to meet or exceed video reviewer metrics/KPIs while maintaining accuracy.
• Interpret subtle differences between school bus laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where BusPatrol operates.
• Assist the Reviewer Team Lead with goals and team projects.
• Embrace a collaborative work environment and provide positive feedback to foster team success.
• Treat everyone with respect, dignity, and multicultural sensitivity.
• Act with transparency and fairness in all interactions with colleagues and leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours of work per week.
• Must be able to process 250 events per hour.
• Workload and hours are not guaranteed; events are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Pay is based on actual time worked, including reviewing, attending meetings, and completing trainings.
• Must clock in/out via an online timecard.
• Biweekly check-ins with assigned Team Lead (on camera, screen share).
• Adherence to company practices and policies.
• Must actively check team communities for updates on work volumes and assignments.
• Superior attention to detail and proficiency in reviewing and editing online video content.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to perform repetitive work while meeting hourly quotas for video reviewing.
• Ability to perform virtual work, including having a functional computer/laptop and reliable high-speed internet to meet reviewer KPIs/metrics.
• Demonstrated intermediate-level (or above) proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Office, Excel, and Word).

Devices/Equipment Requirements

• Windows: Version 10 or 11 with a 2.0 GHz processor or higher.
• Mac: OS Catalina 10.15.X or higher, Monterey 12.X, Ventura 13.X, or Sequoia (latest).
• Incompatible Devices: Tablets, Chromebooks, or any finger-operated screen-only device.

Internet Requirements

• Minimum internet bandwidth of 10 Mbps or higher.
• 1099 Contractor Reviewers are responsible for maintaining and updating their personal devices and internet connections to meet technical requirements, including regularly updating web browsers for compatibility with BusPatrol portals and systems.

Pay

$10 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-time, minimum 20 hours per week required.
• Preference given to those who can review between the hours of 9 AM – 5 PM (Monday–Friday).
• Flexible hours to fit your schedule.
