About the role
The Technical Writer will provide support for the development, update, maintainability, tracking, and/or delivery of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and/or Electronic Systems Operator Manuals (ESOM). Must have an active Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Must have experience with S1000D International Specifications for updating and/or developing IETMs.
- Provide support for planning, execution, records, and report development for hardware Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), verification and validation, or other technical documentation events at production or test facilities.
- Provide technical support to research, evaluate, analyze, propose, and implement solutions for problems or issues pertaining to proper operation of the IETM/ESOM (e.g., opening, viewing, navigating, linking, printing, etc.).
- Perform the role of system integrator responsible for integrating data modules for SSDS Baseline equipment into System Level and Equipment IETMs.
- Perform analysis of S1000D data implementation process and develop proposals for gathering and tracking technical performance data metrics.
- Research and analyze current processes and procedures and provide recommended strategies to solve complex problems or to gain efficiencies in life cycle management of technical data.
- Provide on-site and shipboard support to all integrated product support areas of SSDS and ICS baselines.
Requirements
- Associate's level degree in any field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with Navy or DoD contracts.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
