Room Service Ambassador
Summary of Job Duties
The Room Service Ambassador is responsible for assisting patients with menu selections, ensuring patients receive meals and nourishments in accordance with physician prescribed diets, food allergies, and preferences. The Room Service Ambassador provides excellent customer service to ensure the department’s goals are met.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School diploma/GED plus computer skills. Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette skills.
- PREFERRED: Experience in a food service, customer services or patient care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provides an excellent customer service experience when patients are making menu selections.
- Takes food orders over the phone.
- Makes selections into the electronic meal selection system and updates and records patient information.
- Corrects menu choices based on meal patterns, allergies, and patient preferences.
- Troubleshoots issues at the point of service affecting patient satisfaction with the food service.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
