About the role
The Food & Nutrition Room Service Attendant (Room Service Ambassador) is a competent, experienced professional responsible for obtaining food preferences and meal orders, demonstrating competencies listed on the Competency Checklist, and meeting mutually agreed‑upon performance goals and objectives established annually.
Responsibilities
- Utilize systems and processes to ensure patient safety, infection‑control practices, department security, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Adhere to HACCP/food‑safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal‑appearance standards at all times.
- Use proper processes to achieve patient, customer, and physician satisfaction goals.
- Participate in training with other Food Service department staff to further develop and advance within the industry.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- 1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred.
- Food Handler or SERVSafe certificate preferred (90‑day grace period after hire).
