About the Role
The Roofing Service Leadman is responsible for locating leaks and performing professional-quality roof repairs safely and efficiently, while treating customers and colleagues with respect. This role involves completing defined scope projects, preventative maintenance, and ensuring all work meets industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform roof repairs and maintenance on various roof systems (B.U.R, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO/PVC Membranes, Tile, Shingles, Coatings, Metal Roofs, etc.)
- Assess and decide on repair methods to fix leaks
- Use company apps and portals for check-ins, documentation, and communication
- Complete all required paperwork and maintain clear communication with customers
- Determine safe working conditions based on weather
- Coordinate with General Contractors for larger scope projects
- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
- Maintain and operate company-issued equipment (vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.)
- Keep trucks stocked, clean, and ready for use
- Follow manufacturer-approved repair techniques
- Complete daily assignments on time with proper documentation
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements (OSHA, State, Federal)
- Wear required protective equipment to ensure personal and team safety
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and agility tests
- Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds
- Ability to pass a background check (including government projects as required)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and high temperatures
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, and work on knees for extended periods
- Knowledge of basic roofing tools and repair techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions
- Full-time, onsite role
- Exposure to contaminants, hazardous conditions, and equipment
- Work in very hot (above 90°F) or very cold (below 32°F) temperatures
- Requires precision and high accuracy
- Must meet strict deadlines
- Team-oriented environment with face-to-face interactions
