Roofing Service Leadman

About the Role

The Roofing Service Leadman is responsible for locating leaks and performing professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner, while treating customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect. Job duties also include the completion of defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of all roof systems (B.U.R, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO/PVC Membranes, Tile, Shingles, Coating, Metal Roof, etc.)
• Responsible for making decisions on what to repair and how to fix the leak
• Responsible for using different apps and checking into the portal
• Responsible for all paperwork and communications with customers
• Responsible for determining when it is safe to open the roof based on weather conditions
• Communicates with General Contractors for larger scope of work
• Communicates with customers about findings, opinions on roof condition, and repair recommendations
• Assists in the operation and maintenance of company-issued equipment (vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.)
• Maintains trucks to ensure they are stocked and cleaned inside and out
• Utilizes industry-standard manufacturer-approved repair techniques
• Completes daily assignments in a timely manner with proper paperwork

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
• Ability to lift 100 lbs or more
• Successful Background Check
• Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions and high temperatures
• Capable of bending over and working on knees excessively throughout the day
• Able to pass a government background check per project requirements
• Knowledge of basic roofing tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions

• Full-time onsite
• Exposure to contaminants, very hot (above 90°F) or very cold (below 32°F) temperatures
• Requires working in hazardous conditions and with equipment
• Must wear common protective or safety equipment
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing
• Pet-friendly environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
