Qualifications

Queens Community House is seeking a Romanian-speaking volunteer for an older adult living in Astoria.

Requirements

• Must be able to visit the older adult in person weekly
• Must be fluent in Romanian
• Must be willing to engage in discussions about classic movies, classical music, and classic literature
• Must be interested in learning or teaching new skills together
• Must be available to spend one hour each week with the older adult

Skills

• Fluency in Romanian
• Willingness to engage in meaningful conversations
• Interest in sharing interests and learning from each other
