About the role
Design and ship robotics features across the autonomy stack, from sensor drivers and perception pipelines to planning and control. This role emphasizes production engineering: reliable C++/Python robotics software, hardware sensor integration, simulation + HIL validation, and data-driven iteration to improve real-world robot behavior.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ROS/ROS 2 nodes for sensing, localization, mapping, planning, and control
- Implement perception and sensor fusion pipelines (camera, LiDAR, IMU, wheel odometry) to support stable autonomy
- Develop and tune controllers (PID/MPC) for trajectory tracking, stability, and safety constraints
- Create simulation testbeds and CI-friendly regression tests to improve autonomy reliability
- Run experiments, analyze logs/telemetry, and drive model/system performance improvement
- Partner with mechanical, electrical, and QA teams on integration, calibration, and field validation
Required Qualifications
- Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics or autonomous systems in production environments
- Strong C++ and Python skills; comfort with Linux development and debugging tooling
- Hands-on ROS/ROS 2 experience (messages, TF frames, launch files, bagging)
- Practical understanding of kinematics, dynamics, state estimation, and control
- Experience with SLAM/localization, motion planning, or computer vision perception
Skills
- MoveIt, Nav2, Gazebo/Ignition, Isaac Sim, or similar simulation stacks
- Embedded integration (CAN/UART/I2C/SPI), real-time constraints, and sensor calibration
- Safety concepts, fault detection, and robotics QA validation
