Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate robotics systems (robot arms, EOAT, conveyors, sensors, AMRs/AGVs)
- Develop and maintain robotics software (ROS/ROS2 nodes, perception pipelines, motion planning, state machines)
- Commission and validate robot cells (calibration, teach pendant workflows, acceptance testing)
- Integrate industrial controls: PLC/safety PLC, HMI/SCADA, and networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA)
- Create documentation (I/O maps, SOPs, risk assessments, safety compliance artifacts)
- Partner with manufacturing engineering, quality, and IT/OT to improve throughput, uptime, and OEE
Required Qualifications
- Mid-senior experience delivering manufacturing robotics or industrial automation systems
- Strong robotics fundamentals: kinematics, frames, calibration, motion control
- ROS/ROS2 experience and production-grade software practices
- PLC integration experience (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
- Python and/or C++ proficiency for robotics tooling, integration, and debugging
- Machine vision and factory sensor stack familiarity (2D/3D cameras, lidars, encoders, F/T)
- Industrial safety understanding (risk assessment, safety IO, interlocks, E-stops)
- Production debugging skills using data, logs, and structured RCA methods
