About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a technically complex ICU environment, utilizing evidence-based practices and the nursing process. Models proficiency through precepting and supports a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Contributes to safety, quality, and clinical education, adhering to specialty standards and competency validation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver top-of-scope nursing care in the ICU
- Prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based practices
- Support new staff and ongoing education
- Ensure safety and quality at the point of care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state
- Minimum of 6 months ICU RN experience or completion of a fellowship
- BLS and ACLS certification through AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire
