Role Overview
Provides high-level nursing care in a technically complex Intensive Care Unit, utilizing evidence-based practices and a multidisciplinary team approach. Supports patient safety, quality outcomes, and wellness through direct care, precepting new staff, and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) following AACN's Synergy Model and specialty standards.
- Utilize the nursing process to prioritize and implement care plans.
- Model proficiency by precepting and mentoring new healthcare team members.
- Participate in maintaining safety, quality, and evidence-based practices at the point of care.
- Support clinical education and competency validation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and valid RN licensure.
- Minimum 6 months ICU or PCU nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (BLS through AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire).
