About the Role

Provides direct, high-level nursing care in a technically complex Progressive Care Unit (PCU), utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes patient safety and outcomes through multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Models proficiency by precepting new staff.
• Contributes to a culture of quality and safety.
• Supports specialty education and competency validation.
• Works within AACN’s Synergy Model standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license.
• At least 6 months of ICU or PCU experience or completion of a fellowship.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS (through AHA or Red Cross).
