Trinity Health Livonia is a full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital located in Livonia, MI, providing comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics, and birthing and women's health. Unit Description

2 South is a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in post-operative care for a variety of surgical patients, including bariatric procedures, joint replacements, hip fractures, bowel obstructions, cholecystitis, and more. This telemetry-equipped unit provides continuous cardiac monitoring and has the capability to manage cardiac drips. Nurses here are skilled in wound and drain care, pain management, and delivering comprehensive recovery support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care during a designated timeframe
• Coordinate and evaluate care
• Provide teaching to patients and families
• Delegate patient activities to other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years
• BLS certification required
• Previous medical surgical experience preferred
• Computer proficient with excellent customer service skills

Schedule

• Full-time position scheduled 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend rotation and holiday commitment
