About the role

The pediatric unit, located on WKS campus, is designed to meet the needs of children. The unit is beautiful and provides a safe and cheerful atmosphere for our young patients. The 24-bed unit has specially trained staff that work closely with all departments to provide quality care to the children we serve. We believe in family-centered care, involving the parents/family and patients in all aspects of care, including decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1.
• Participate in pediatric-specific orientation and cross-training in other areas.
• Offer ACLS, PALS, and NRP training at no cost to employees.
• Receive specialty differential pay.
• Enjoy flexible scheduling to balance home life and work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Louisiana.
• Current BLS certification.
