About the role

The Willis Knighton's Behavioral Medicine department is seeking a full-time, night shift Registered Nurse (RN) to join their 34-bed Behavioral Medicine unit at the Willis Knighton Rehabilitation Institute. The unit operates with a 5-6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of nursing and medical management using a collaborative multidisciplinary approach.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort through effective communication and teamwork.
• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain professional competence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in the state of Louisiana.
• At least one year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or related field is a plus.
