About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages nursing care activities in the cath lab and interventional radiology, supporting patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Develops individualized care plans.
  • Coordinates and documents nursing interventions.
  • Evaluates patient outcomes.
  • Provides patient education.
  • Assists physicians during procedures.
  • Monitors changes in patient conditions.
  • Ensures safety and infection control protocols are followed.
  • Delivers high-quality, courteous service tailored to patient needs.
  • Ensures effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provides age-appropriate and specialized care, including restraint and pain management.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid RN licensure.
  • At least one year of medical-surgical experience; critical care or post-anesthesia experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS and ALS from AHA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of growth and development, safety, and infection control.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move patients.
  • Ability to work in dynamic, emergency situations.
