Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Radiology Role Overview: The RN manages and directs nursing care activities in cath lab and interventional radiology settings, supporting high-quality, patient-centered care. They perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team, providing specialized care for high-risk patients, and ensuring safety and infection control standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing re-evaluations.Develop, coordinate, and execute individualized care plans.Administer medications, assist with procedures, and monitor patient conditions.Document care activities, patient responses, and educational efforts.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in research activities.Provide age-appropriate and specialized care, including restraint and pain management, for diverse patient populations.Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to policies; report risks and concerns.Deliver compassionate, respectful service, communicating effectively with patients and families.Demonstrate professional accountability, participate in educational opportunities, and function as a resource to colleagues. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; valid RN license in appropriate states.Minimum of one year medical-surgical experience; critical care or post-anesthesia care preferred.Current BLS and ALS certifications from AHA.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including patient transfers.Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills. Work Environment & Conditions: Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, unpredictable situations, and emergency care scenarios; requires alertness and adherence to safety protocols. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, and manual patient handling.
