RN - Seasonal Emergency Room

Role Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in an emergency setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassion to deliver high-quality care while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care effectively. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.Administer prescribed medications and perform treatment procedures.Provide age-appropriate care and educate patients and families, including creating and evaluating teaching plans.Collaborate with healthcare teams and assist physicians with procedures.Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge care with social services.Practice cost-effective resource utilization and promote patient safety by minimizing harm.Prioritize patient care efficiently and commit to ongoing professional development. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years recent emergency nursing experience.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy and ESI Triage proficiency; experience with EPIC EHR preferred.Valid RN licensure and certifications including AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC; ENPC and NIHSS preferred.
