RN - Seasonal Emergency Room

About the Role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to promote patient autonomy, dignity, and health restoration. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, with additional responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed, understanding their use.
• Deliver age-appropriate care, including basic self-care activities.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
• Practice cost-effective resource management and promote patient safety.
• Prioritize patient care efficiently and maintain ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent emergency nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in ESI Triage.
• Licensure as an RN, with certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Preferred: experience with EPIC EHR, ENPC, NIHSS.
