RN - Seasonal Emergency Room

About the role

This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in an emergency setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. The role requires utilizing critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassion to deliver high-quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients accurately based on their medical condition
• Administering medications as prescribed and performing treatments
• Providing age-appropriate care and patient education, including family involvement
• Collaborating with team members and assisting physicians with procedures
• Addressing psychosocial needs and coordinating post-discharge support
• Practicing cost-effective resource management and promoting patient safety
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent emergency nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• RN licensure, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Computer literacy and knowledge of ESI Triage; EPIC EHR experience preferred
