RN - Seasonal Emergency Room

Role Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in an emergency setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to ensure patient dignity, rights, and health restoration. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, while supporting other assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical conditionsAdminister prescribed medications safelyDeliver age-appropriate care and assist with self-care activitiesDevelop and evaluate patient and family education plansPerform treatments and nursing services utilizing clinical knowledgeCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive careAssist physicians with procedures and technical tasksAddress psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planningPractice cost-effective resource managementPrioritize patient care efficiently and promote safety to minimize harmEngage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years recent emergency nursing experienceGraduate from an accredited nursing programComputer literacy and ESI Triage proficiencyLicensure as an RN and certifications including AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCCPreferred: EPIC EHR experience, ENPC, NIHSS
