RN On-Duty House Administrator
About the role
This position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and administrative oversight during assigned shifts, acting as the on-site representative and liaison among physicians, staff, patients, families, and external agencies. The role involves developing organizational structures, managing staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and fostering teamwork. It requires ensuring compliance with hospital policies, promoting patient safety, and facilitating effective communication and crisis intervention. The incumbent supports departmental and hospital goals, participates in decision-making committees, and coordinates emergency and resource management activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff, facilitate staff development, and promote a positive work environment.
- Support hospital policies, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement activities.
- Act as a resource and liaison for all stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate responses to emergencies, manage staffing needs, and oversee resource allocation.
- Report incidents, contribute to departmental and hospital goals, and participate in decision-making processes.
- Promote patient participation in care and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
- Licensed RN in NM or eligible via reciprocal agreement.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Light physical effort, with exposure to potential hazards requiring PPE, and subject to annual testing and evaluations.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

- Preferred bilingual skills (English and Spanish, or other Native languages).
