About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, is seeking full-time experienced Registered Nurses for the Neuro PCU. This 38-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. As a Neuro PCU RN, no two days are alike. Staff on this unit practice within the team nursing model and consider teamwork our greatest strength in providing safe, quality, and compassionate patient care. This unit includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and is an award-winning Comprehensive Stroke Center certified through the Joint Commission.

- Hemicraniectomy
- Aneurysm Clip and Coils
- Glioblastomas
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- TIA
- Stroke – Hemorrhagic and Ischemic
- Neurosurgery
- Seizures
- Brain Mass
Requirements
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing; ADN required; BSN preferred
- Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
- Preferred 12-18 months of RN experience, acute care or hospital setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required (must obtain within 30 days of starting)
- Functions competently and effectively under pressure and emergency situations
