RN Manager - Birth Center, Labor and Delivery

About the Role

Creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by supervising nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, and fostering a culture of open communication. Collaborates with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, monitor clinical outcomes, and meet organizational goals. Leads daily unit activities, recruits and retains skilled staff, and develops strategies to improve patient, family, and staff satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct nursing personnel, schedule shifts, and coordinate daily operations.
• Build and maintain a high-performing team, evaluate staff, and support ongoing education.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; monitor care processes and outcomes.
• Conduct rounds, communicate with physicians and staff, and resolve patient care issues.
• Manage staffing needs, authorize overtime, and facilitate patient throughput and discharge planning.
• Perform emergency preparedness reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• Minimum of five years' technical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Certifications in BLS, NRP, FHM, ACLS, STABLE, and TEAM or TEAM-A required.
