Registered Nurse Manager - Birth Center, Labor and Delivery

About the Role

The Nurse Manager oversees a healthcare unit, ensuring a safe, high-quality, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing and ancillary staff to deliver holistic care, fostering a culture of safety, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, develop action plans, and meet organizational goals.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain optimal patient flow and care standards.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, ensure compliance with regulations, and address operational issues proactively.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Engage in daily rounds, facilitate effective communication, and resolve patient care concerns.
• Implement strategies to enhance patient, family, and staff satisfaction, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Current RN licensure, with additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, FHM, and TEAM or TEAM-A.
• Experience in acute care nursing, leadership, and staff management preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills required.
