Registered Nurse Manager, Birth Center, Labor and Delivery

Role: Nurse Manager overseeing a clinical unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing and ancillary staff, promoting a safe, complication-free environment that fosters functional independence.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and department leaders, to optimize clinical operations and patient satisfaction.Lead daily unit activities, set and achieve goals for patient safety, quality, and compliance with regulations.Build and maintain a high-performing team through recruitment, coaching, evaluations, and educational support.Maintain effective communication, conduct rounds, and coordinate care plans to ensure individualized patient care.Manage staffing needs, schedules, and overtime to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.Oversee throughput by facilitating timely admissions, transfers, discharges, and maintaining safety standards.Monitor care outcomes through audits and incident reports, and implement improvements as needed.Perform other duties related to unit operations and patient care quality. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.Minimum of five years’ technical nursing experience; one year leadership experience preferred.Active RN licensure; current Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); ACLS; STABLE; and TEAM certifications required.Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills; ability to foster teamwork and continuous improvement.Experience in acute care nursing and familiarity with regulatory standards.
