Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily unit activities, maintaining a visible presence on the floor.
• Recruit, retain, and develop skilled staff, conducting evaluations and providing coaching.
• Establish and monitor standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families to coordinate care and resolve issues.
• Manage staffing needs, schedules, and overtime to ensure adequate coverage.
• Oversee throughput and discharge processes, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Conduct emergency preparedness reviews and maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification are required; additional certifications such as ACLS, FHM, and TEAM are also required.
• Preferred experience includes leadership, acute care, and technical expertise in nursing.
• Strong judgment, communication, and team-building skills essential for success.
