RN / LPN | Part-Time

The Lutheran Home is hiring part-time Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. Guided by our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship, our team provides nursing care across our health center, which includes long-term care, a rehab-to-home unit, and a memory care unit. Scheduling Options Part-time scheduling may include weekday and weekend shifts. Most shifts are 12 hours. Some 4-hour morning and evening shifts may also be available.Available shifts and schedules are based on staffing needs. Shifts Differentials Night shift differential availableWeekend shift differential available for both day and night shifts Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders, Missouri State Board of Nursing regulations, and Lutheran Home policiesReceive and provide shift report, ensuring accurate communication of resident status and care needsVerify narcotic and controlled medication counts with the oncoming/off-going nurse per facility policyGive daily report/ instruction and completes assignment sheet for nursing assistantsMonitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure residents are receiving proper diet and assistance as necessaryComplete comprehensive resident assessments and document findings accuratelyAdminister and document medications, treatments, and all resident care providedPerform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and documentationObserve, document, and report changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and nursing leadershipObtain and carry out physician orders and updates to treatment plans as neededEducate residents and families regarding medications, disease processes, diet, safety, and other care needs as appropriateRespond to changes in condition or emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions, including life-saving measures when requiredListen to and address resident or family concerns, escalating issues to supervisory staff as needed Requirements Current, valid Missouri RN or LPN licensePrevious long-term care experience is helpful but not requiredCurrent CPR certification required About The Lutheran Home Since 1972, the Lutheran Home has provided the region's residents with dignified and compassionate care.
