Role Overview The RN - Labor and Delivery provides patient assessment, collects health data, and coordinates individualized care plans to ensure safe and effective interventions. They communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and tailor education to meet specific learning needs. The role involves participating in quality improvement initiatives, maintaining current nursing knowledge, and adhering to practice standards, laws, and regulations. Key Responsibilities Assess patients and gather health information involving patients, families, and providers.Develop and coordinate care plans ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.Communicate effectively across various channels.Provide personalized patient and family education.Engage in quality improvement activities to evaluate nursing practice.Stay updated on current nursing standards, laws, and regulations. Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited institution.Current Illinois nursing license.CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
